Observing Mucha

Whilst holidaying in Bournemouth the other week, I visited the Russell Cotes house and art museum. At the time there was an exhibition displaying the works of Alphonse Mucha.
It was very inspiring to see the methods in which his art was created. The simplicity of midtones and outlines of the hair featuring on his female models for example and the intricacy and sublime nature of the backgrounds were excellent. At the time of writing this I am very much into drawing and painting feminine figures, especially after seeing some works from Skyhook Suicide (Suicide Girls model and artist) about a month ago.
